Elchstuga Cottage The holiday house is situated amidst the woods within a popular holiday colony. The area consists of a few scattered houses mainly built by Swedes and and some Germans. Around the colony there are several lakes, a path leading to the closest among them, Lake Bredasjön well suited for swimming and fishing only 200 meters away. Överlida, the next place, is about 4 km away and provides several shops and restaurants. Other neaby places are Mjöbäck and Öxabäck. Ullared with the famous Gekås shopping center is about 30 km away. Distance to the Kattegat with the well-known places of Falkenberg and Varberg is about 55 km, to Gothenburg a little more than 80 km. Accomodation Our holiday house was built in 1977 and renovated recently. It has a plane layout without any stairs. On 65 sqm it consists of a 35 sqm living room with open plan kitchen, three bedrooms, hall, bathroom with shower and two terraces. One of the terraces is roofed and facing southwest while the other one is facing southeast. There is enough room for up to 6 persons. The house also provides an open chimney where you can spend the evenings. The master bedroom has two beds and wardrobes while the other bedrooms have bunk beds. A satellite color TV set also offers German programs. The kitchen is equipped with fridge with freezer compartment, coffee machine and stove with 4 hot plates and oven. The 1,365 sqm estate is spacious enough for playing, romping or just to relax. Next neighbor is about 30 meters away, other neighbors are farther away and couldn’t see what’s going on so house and property have a very private atmosphere. The forest guarantees a heavenly silence and there is no drive-thru traffic at all.

Description of area/town/village

Our holiday house is situated near the west coast of Sweden and the Kattegat in a forest. Gothenburg is about 80 km away, to the well-known spas of Varberg and Falkenberg distance is less than 60 km. Next places are Överlida, Öxabäck, Mjöbäck and Ullared and Älvsered are close, too. In Ullared is the famous Gekås shopping center where people from all over Sweden go to cause of the low priced offers.

From Germany use autobahn A1 north to Fehmarn, the Puttgarden-Rödby ferry and the E6 in Denmark to Helsingör, passing Copenhagen. ake the Helingör-Helsingborg ferry and then E6/E20 in direction to Gothenburg. In Falkenberg turn to road 154 in direction to Ullared and Svenljunga, follow the road to Mjöbäck.
