Casa ai Mulini
You will stay in an old Ticino mansion from 17th century, build by the Italian high nobility family Visconti. The oldest sign still readable on the house dates back from 1626. Teh old loopholes tell about eventful times. Ceilings with massive beams, chestnut panels and up to one meter thick granite walls. The house was restored with a lot of comfort in 2002 and 2003.
All our studios and holiday apartments have a balcony or seating under a pergola. They can accomodate one to four persons, provide stoves with ceramic tops, refridgerator, coffee machine, bathroom with shower and wood-burning fireplace inserts.

Description of area/town/village
|
The Valle-Onsenone (Onsenone valley) is a green oasis, its location provides a lot of sun even in winter. The villages are located on a south-facing slope instead down in the valley so the east-west orientation of the valley is the guarantee for at least seven hours of sunshine even on the shortest days! Thus there you can find a lush vegation here 691 meters above sea level: palm trees, wine, mimosas, cactus pears and of course sweet chestnuts!
Loco is the second village within the valley. It has two restaurants, a shop (Mercantino), a bank with ATM, a post office, a museum and a huge children’s playground.
A gorgeous recreation valley for bon vivants and nature friends.

It’s very easy to go here by publich transport. There’s a postbus from the railway station in Locarno. Leave it at the station Loco Paese, from there it is a 200 m walk only.
